1 — Personal Data We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to operate the platform. This includes your name, business email, phone number, and company details when you register; authentication activity such as login timestamps and OTP records; your Telegram Chat ID if you connect it for notifications; and technical data such as your IP address and session activity collected automatically when you use the platform.
2 — Why We Collect It
We use your personal data to operate and secure your account, deliver platform notifications and reports, respond to support requests, improve the platform through anonymised usage analytics, manage your subscription, and meet our legal obligations under Malaysian law. We do not use your data for advertising.
3 — How We Protect It
All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+).
Your organisation's data is architecturally isolated from every other client's — it cannot be accessed by another client through normal platform operation.
Access by Saturn Pyro staff requires multi-factor authentication and is restricted on a strict need-to-know basis.
Continuous security monitoring is in place across all platform infrastructure.
4 — Who We Share It With
We do not sell or rent your personal data. We share it only with the cloud infrastructure and service providers (such as AWS) required to operate the platform, and only under strict confidentiality agreements. We may also disclose data if required by Malaysian law or a court order.
5 — How Long We Keep It
We retain personal data only as long as needed — active accounts for the duration of use, audit logs for 1 year, notification records for 90 days, and so on. A full retention schedule is available in our Data Retention and Disposal Policy. When data is no longer required it is securely deleted.
6 — Analytics and AI
We use anonymised analytics to understand how the platform is used and improve it. Personal identifiers are not stored in analytics event properties. If AI features process data associated with your account, we apply data minimisation principles and your data is never used to train third-party AI models without your explicit consent.
7 — Your Rights
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia), you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request corrections, withdraw consent, and request limitations on processing. Submit requests to support@iotwatt.io and we will respond within 21 days. Unresolved complaints may be referred to the Personal Data Protection Commissioner of Malaysia.
7 — Data Breach Notification
If a breach occurs that is likely to affect your rights or interests, we will notify you promptly with details of what happened, what data was involved, and what steps we have taken. Notification timelines follow our obligations under PDPA and our contractual commitments.
